This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students enjoy Reading A to Z, because it allows them access to read books at their level and of their interest. Many of my students have reading difficulties and this program has motivated them to become better readers. My students are working to improve their basic reading skills, reading fluency, as well as reading comprehension. After completing the reading placement tool, students are placed at a reading level between A to Z (kinder to above fifth grade).
With this program, my students are able to listen to books, read & record themselves read, as well as take comprehension quizzes on various books at their level.
As a special education teacher, Raz-Plus is a great method for data tracking and progress monitoring. The program generates reports that provide the teacher access to listen to students' recordings, check their annotations, as well as track their level progress. These reports also help drive my instruction as I can identify what skills students are struggling with and provide the necessary lessons. This subscription will benefit both my students and me as their teacher.
