My Project
My students are in their last year of learning to read. Once they get to 3rd grade they will be reading to learn.
I want to grow a love for reading by creating a reading nook area.
In this area I want to add a comfortable area for students that will hopefully get them excited abouy reading. The area will have a tent, some mood lighting and bean bags.
Students in my class are 7 and 8 years old. Some love reading: others not so much. I am trying to get all of my students super excited to pick up a book, sit in a comfortable area and read. I also want to get some seat pouches so that they can place the books in their pouches. Our desks are filled with so many things that I want them to have an easy reach to their books.
