My students need a variety of reading center resources so they may practice and develop reading skills on an individually leveled basis.

My Students
We need reading centers and activities to using during our reader's workshop, so students can receive differentiated instruction for their unique educational needs. We need centers that can teach these concepts through familiar books and engaging activities!
The first graders in my class are energetic and ready learn!
There isn't a day that goes by that they don't make a discovery about how the world around them works and how what they are learning is meaningful to real world experiences! They are eager to work together and share and practice what they have learned in guided reading groups. My class is a very diverse group that requires differentiation to meet unique needs and learning styles, as well as individual reading levels.
My Project
My students love working together in centers. As a teacher, I want them to take ownership of their learning, while I support them and facilitate them in their endeavors! The literacy centers we are requesting will allow them to put their knowledge to use with authentic literature not a worksheet! The centers also come with books and a classroom can never have too many books for children to read!
Having these centers will make such a difference during our reader's workshop activities.
Due to the size of our class, we can have groups of more than 4 children. It will also put additional books in our room which we can use during our guided reading time. The students can then follow up small group instruction with individual and peer group literacy center activities!
