Help me give my students books to help them learn valuable life skills about character.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. H.'s classroom raised $264
This project is fully funded
My Students
My students have a great love of learning. They enjoy coming to school each day. Most of my students are from a low socioeconomic background. They don't have much, so they cherish the things they do have. Our school has more than 60% of our students receiving a free lunch. This means we have a lower socioeconomic status and are a Title I school.
My students have a deep love of learning and want to explore learning in many different ways.
They love coming to school and come excited about what the day will hold for them. These students are excited about life and learning.
My Project
In this ever changing world, it is important for teachers to teach students about character and what it means to be a good citizen. All of these books help teach a very important skill to my students. They will learn how to respect themselves and others, find the courage to be themselves, develop listening skills, practice following directions and learn many more valuable life skills that will help them be good students and citizens.
Teaching students social emotional skills at school will help them to become better students and be more successful.
Not all students have the opportunity to learn important social emotional skills at home. Touching on these skills in the classroom helps students to become better learners as well as all-around better human beings.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
