My Students

My students come from a variety of backgrounds in a growing community. We are a classroom of readers, achievers, and dreamers. My students are constantly at our classroom library or curled up in a book on one of our reading pillows. They cheer loudly when new books are added to our classroom library. They are always eager to learn and eager to experience new things. They are curious and creative and love opening a book and seeing where the adventure takes them.

We celebrate our classmate's unique abilities and encourage one another to be the best version of ourselves.

My Project

The use of these books in my classroom will allow for more creativity, learning, and building of comprehension skills. They are a crucial part of our daily routine. I have chosen a variety of books at all reading levels to add to my classroom. I have chosen books that celebrate diversity and culture for our future novel studies and book clubs. "I Am Enough" will be used for our book study. "Women Who Dared" and "She Persisted" will be used with our upcoming biography unit. This gives each and every one of my students a chance to continue their love for reading. Many of these titles have also been requested by students. "Diary of A Wimpy Kid" and "Nancy Drew" will be some of the books added to our independent reading station. The books I have chosen are diverse, just like my students. With these books, we will continue to grow as learners. Their eagerness and love for reading is inspiring. Some books will be used for independent reading, while others will be used for diversity and goal-setting lessons.
