My students have been through a trying beginning of the school year. We started out with a class of 20 students, with many interesting personalities. We recently gained a new teacher so our numbers went down but I have all original students at some point during the day. Each child has their own special story. I teach in a high poverty school, but each child gives their all each day.
My classroom is a safe place full of love to come to and disappear in learning from 7:45-3:45 each day.
We are an extended day school to provide more opportunities for our students.
My Project
The Guided Reading books I chose will increase the reading levels of each of my students. I have chosen books from the entire guided reading spectrum so that each child in my class has the chance to grow. Each child needs to feel successful and be a successful reader. These books will help them in that success.
It is important that my students have an assortment of books on their level.
I work with each student on their level and teach them strategies to help them on their reading journey. These leveled readers will help them on this journey greatly!
