Reader's Theater

My Project

As we learn phonics patterns in first grade, it is important that we put what we are learning into context. We read story books, decodable books, and short passages. I would love to reach the artistic side of my students and let them express their inner actor/actress.

Reader's Theaters are short plays that help students practice what they are learning in class.

They also help with expression and oral communication. Kids love dramatic play not matter what age. These plays will give my students another outlet to practice their reading skills.
