Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are part of the Spanish dual language program for our school district. Our grade level has 49, 4th graders enrolled in this program.

They are ambitious students who love to learn and read!

Most of the students are Latino and African American. We are committed to working together to make learning a fun experience every day.

They are creative and thoughtful children who absolutely love to read and engage in conversation. They come to school each day ready to learn new things.

My Project

The materials needed will help students be organized and keep their reading materials in good condition as they will be able to safely organize and transport books they borrow from the classroom library. The book bags will also help students be more responsible as books are allowed to go home daily in order for students to read daily at home. The copy paper will be used to make copies of reading logs and helpful references that students will be able to use in the writing journals. The sticky notes will be used to take notes and summarize chapters as they read their books. The laminating pouches will be used to laminate students reference sheets which are used daily as well as student work. The pencils will students complete everyday work.
