My Students
My active and energetic students love to take on the challenge and be inspired to read by using hands on reading games to spark their creative minds and learn to read. The reading resource materials will provide hands-on learning opportunities for my students.
My students come from all over the world.
There are six different languages spoken in my classroom and the students are so determined to try their best and they absolutely love to read. The students love to play reading games that provide positive self-esteem and games that they can play with their peers. This will encourage peer learning and small group discussions. The reading materials are the ideal resource for my Kindergarten students.
My Project
The reading materials will be used daily in small group learning centers and will provide active and engaged learning opportunities for all students. The students can work together to create meaning self check sight word based sentences that allow them to add to the sentences to add additional creative sentences of their very own.The reading games are the ideal resource because they are hands-on and active. The children will be inspired and engaged in reading games. They will create cooperative learning opportunities and they will motivate children to learn the Common Core sight word vocabulary.
When this project is funded it will provide a wealth of reading opportunities and inspiration to my Kindergarten students.
It will allow them to work in teams to help one another learn their sight word vocabulary and spark their interest in reading. It will give an opportunity for children to learn in a fun-filled and engaged approach to learning.
