We are asking for a new, bigger rug so all of our students can fit during our whole class instruction. The carpet is also used for independent reading time and flexible seating options to meet the needs of all of our learners.
Our meeting area/library is the most used space in our classroom.
It is where our students spend most of their school day and we would like to give them a bigger area to do so. Right now, we can only fit about half of our students on our current rug, and the others either have to sit directly on the floor or on chairs that are further away from the lesson. A bigger space would allow us to include all of our students. Additionally, we would like to give our students the option of flexible seating when they work independently. Some students prefer to sit on the rug when they are completing their assignments.
