This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our third grade classroom is in need of high interest books both chapter and pictures. Since this year we are building our capacity of reading in prepartion for the next school year we need some books that will engage us to be lovers of reading.

We need books of High Interest ranging in different reading levels to live in our Avenger's Headquarters (library).

This year we are attempting to finish the famous 40 book challenge by Donnalynn Miller the author of "The Book Whisper". Students have to read 10 chapter books, 7 non fiction, 3, informational, 5 fantasy, 5 fiction, 4 biographies and 6 folklore or fables. All of our choice! By having various books of high interest and in various levels, we can ALL acheive this goal by the end of our third grade year! In additional having pillows to be able to lounge and read during our reading times will create a comfortable reading environment.
