Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The book titles selected for this project will inspire my first graders to read, read, read. I have selected many popular titles that many students want from the library, but they tend to be checked out. I have also chosen books that are at the beginning level so many of my emergent readers can access them to practice their reading skills.

My goals for this project are to inspire my readers by providing intriguing and accessible books for my little ones to practice reading while also keeping it enjoyable.

My students are special because they are just now "cracking the code" of reading. Many of my students are beginning to know most sound/spelling connections and applying that knowledge during reading instruction, as well as independent reading. They are finding their favorite books and characters right now.
