Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These books will enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place my students really enjoy during whole class read-alouds that build classroom community while sharing an exciting book with a partner and while independently devouring a book catered to a student's unique level and interests! Every student book that is placed in my library is chosen thoughtfully and with love and care in order to develop my students into the readers and leaders of the future.

With these new diverse books, it is my hope that my students will be able to enjoy a variety of titles that will be both a mirror that reflects their unique selves and also a window that allows them to open their minds to the diversity that exists in our world.

The best way to increase reading skills and strategies is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. With the great emphasis placed on the importance and joy of reading in my classroom, this project will truly help enrich their literacy experiences!
