My Project

Reading for pleasure has become a thing of the past in schools. Teachers are tasked with getting through reading, math, science, and social studies each day. Most days, we have to keep moving to ensure we stay on pace and are ready for assessments. I have a girls group called GLOSS-E (Girls Loving Ourselves, STEM & Etiquette.)

This group of girls will meet twice a week after school to work on leadership tasks, STEM activities, cooking, mentoring, book club, and more.

I would like to provide my girls with this three-pack of books to build their home libraries. We will read the books at school and bring them to life. Afterward, they will be able to take them home. Leaders who are engaged in reading and a variety of experiences become critical thinkers and better communicators.
