My Project

I want my kids to love reading. I want a library full of interesting books and a comfy place for them to sit and read. One of my stations is read to self. My students get 20 minutes a day to pick a book of their choice, get comfy and read. I have learned if they find a book that interest them they will enjoy reading it. Readers are leaders. The effects of reading on child development include cognitive and emotional benefits, such as helping children develop language skills and literacy, build empathy, and learn how to handle challenging feelings. Thank you for helping me to reach these goals.
