My Project
My Pre-k students are from low-income families but are resilient and want to learn. They are curious and hands-on learners. Creating an enriching classroom library with various books and puppets will support my student's love for reading and learning.
These various books and puppets will provide endless opportunities for every student to build emergent literacy behaviors and pre-reading skills.
There are several benefits when children hear stories read aloud, students learn new words, and build their comprehension grows. My students will develop phonological awareness, follow directions on printed pages and build sight word recognition. A library that is inviting inspires all learners.
