Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

At the beginning of the year, I asked the students if they had any recommendations for my classroom library. The books on my list are their recommendations! I encourage independent reading and book talks each day to cultivate a culture of curiosity.

With these books, my students will have a choice in what interests them.

With your help, I will continue to grow the lives and minds of my students. I have so many students that are avid readers and visit the public library often. I would love to provide them with the opportunity to have their favorite books at arms reach!
