This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"SIMPLY READ then SIMPLY LEAD for READERS are LEADERS. Just BE the CHANGE you want to see in the world." This is the challenge I always encourage my students to FOCUS ON now that they are in the third grade.

The set of students I am teaching this year comprises all 22 3rd graders who are ready to take on their reading and math skills to the next level.

Eager and focused to achieve this goal and committed to rise to the top, my students lack resources at home but also needed more guided reading materials and math drills that will spell the difference in their achievement. Though, my students attend a fairly good Montessori School, the need for resources that would enhance and enrich their learning is obviously a need.

My Project

LOOKING to PARTNER with YOU! This is my second year teaching in the school district and I was challenged to respond to raise the test scores. With budget cuts schools are undergoing today, having the right resources, like that excellent and focused guided reading books and materials, would target and address the seemingly evident problem that beset our school and district as well. I would be able to maximize their learning and raise the level of understanding while focusing on the higher level thinking skills and develop readers who would become leaders in their classroom and grade level in the school and school district as well. The math materials would help them focus and solidify their calculation and problem solving skills.

By partnering with me and my third grade class this school year 2013-2014, YOU have the opportunity to IMPACT, CHANGE and TRANSFORM lives today and in the future.

In behalf of my third grade class, our heartfelt gratitude for your continued support. God bless you.
