Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In my classroom I have students at all levels of reading and many are coming in with English as their second language (ELL; English Language Learners). For this reason I thought it would be appropriate to find books and word associations that work for students that are just learning the language up to those that are taking college classes while in middle school.
I know that some of the books appear to be basic for middle schoolers but it is actually quiet complex which helps to prove the point that everyone has something to learn.
I am also asking for the mystery book set as I think that some of my students would enjoy the series and it is just obscure enough that none of them should have heard of it yet. Lastly I has included some teacher books so that I may become a better teacher for my students (especially my ELL kids) and a teammate to my fellow teachers in how I help them to learn the art of teaching.
