My Students

My students are phenomenal! They work very hard to participate in each assignment as they are learning to read and write this year. They are learning how to work as a team, building skills in addition and subtraction and solving word problems using one and two-digit numbers up to 20. Students work to build fluency for comprehension day by day.

My Project

When children are read to, it strengthens their brain and increases vocabulary! Young learners gain background information on the world around them as they begin applying knowledge and how it relates to them. Many of these books introduce students to a growth mindset. This teaches students that they are capable through their hard work and effort to accomplish the task before them. This empowers young learners to move forward in their journey, eager to embrace more knowledge. "This view creates a love of learning and a resilience that is essential for great accomplishment.” ( Dweck, 2015)
