My Students
I remember sitting in school and having a strong desire to learn to read. I also remember being very frustrated because all of the books were "too hard". I never want my students to feel this way.
My student's all have a strong desire to learn how to read and they are only five!
I feel like I don't have enough leveled books to support their dreams of reading. Many of the books that I do have for them are home made books, that were simply printed off the computers. Not only do they not capture the kids imagination, they are boring to look at because the pictures are all black and white.
My Project
By donating to this project you will be helping these students meet their dreams of becoming readers. Books at lower levels are difficult to find. By giving them books that are at their reading level you will help boost their self esteem and encourage them to become life long readers! The books that I need for my classroom have colorful pictures, vivid descriptions and will help them learn to read.
My hope is that this project will be funded and my students will be given this opportunity to become great readers!
