My Students
My students are very warm and loving. The second day of school the majority of the students gave me gifts. They are so excited to be back in the classroom. I could tell that they had the first day of school jitters, but by the end of the school day they were all warmed up. Currently, we are going into our second week of school and I already see improvements in their work.
They love for me to read stories to them, they enjoy math, and they also like science.
They have a difficult time writing words, so I have them add a picture to their writing in order for them to fully express the meaning of their sentences. Virtual school was very difficult for my students and it left them with huge gaps in their learning. Even though, they are physically in the third grade they are performing on a kindergarten level. Please help me to give them the materials they need so that they can gain the knowledge they need in the our classroom.
My Project
These materials will make a huge difference in my student's learning. My entire class is reading on a kindergarten level even though they are in the 3rd grade. The "I Can Read" books will assist them in their reading ability. The books are usually filled with "sight" words that my students can recognize. The rug will also be a great help. Because of COVID my students must be at least 3 feet apart at all times. The rug will help my students at carpet time so that they know their place on the carpet and they don't enter another students space.
Finally, the adjustable chart stand will assist me in holding the large chart paper which will provide them a close-up view of the lessons being taught.
I have a large classroom and my voice doesn't seem to project very well so the microphone headset will assist me with communicating with my students more effectively.
