My students are an amazing group of third graders. They are enthusiastic about school and embrace everything we do in class. They love reading, P.E., math, and science. Our school is a kindergarten through eighth grade school located in rural California. It houses 450 students. Our school is surrounded by forests and mountains and has daily visitors such as geese, turkeys, and deer.
My school had a fire on January 26.
I lost my entire classroom to smoke damage. The materials requested in this project are to help my students and I rebuild our classroom and supplies.
My Project
My students need books to replace the books we lost in our school fire. I am requesting books that cover a wide range of reading levels and interests. I am also requesting books that focus on different holidays.
This year my students came to me with a wide range of reading abilities.
The books I received at the end of the school year to replace my library were books for end of the school year 3rd graders. My students are in desperate need of books for beginning readers.
Students will use these books, such as Thanksgiving Rules, Snowmen at Christmas, and Splendiferous Christmas for building content, for comprehension, and for pleasure reading.
