it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Imagine the excitement a young reader will have when they are told they can Read to a Dragon! Through your generosity, you will be inspiring young readers to pick up a book and read for enjoyment as they sit comfortably by a bearded dragon. Rizzo, a one year-old bearded dragon, loves to pay attention to his human friends, making him an ideal pet to listen to a story. During a time when young students' attention is diverted away from a good book, Rizzo can provide students the motivation needed to put down the electronic devices and pick up a book. The flexible seating, bookshelf, and extra books to supplement my collection will help create a cozy reading area. Plus, as Rizzo has outgrown his starter tank, the larger bearded dragon habitat will allow Rizzo to comfortably listen to his friends reading for years to come.
