This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This is my first year teaching a class of 22 students. What I like about my students is that I have a mixture of learners in my class. I have high performing students, average, and low performing learners.
My students are very active and curious.
They are always asking questions. They have different challenges. Some have a hard time understanding and comprehending texts. Others are easily distracted. Many of them need practice with study skills and focusing on re-reading for understanding.
My Project
Students will be exposed to reading literature under than the stories read in class. Many students do not have books at home. I will like to engage students in reading and make it a fun experience to them.
Students will be able to read different texts that are interactive, fun, and easy to read to catch their attention and increase their motivation.
The whole class can be reading and discussing this book and apply comprehension skills learned.
Through reading different chapter books and different genres literature, students can improve their reading skills.
