My Students
My first graders are fantastic and I'm so lucky to be their teacher! They're eager to learn and love reading and using technology. By the end of the year, my goal is for every student to leave my classroom with a love of reading and writing.
I have 50 first grade students with a morning and afternoon class.
I'm so proud of my students for working so hard to master all the first grade standards. I'm their reading and writing teacher so it's my job to build a love of reading and writing in each and every student. This begins with an inviting classroom filled with high interest fiction and non-fiction books.
My Project
These books will be used for reading practice and as mentor text to help inspire and motivate students to improve the quality of their writing and sentences. It's important that we have both fiction and non-fiction books in our classroom for reading practice. Students will also be able to check out these books to take home. Most importantly, they will be able to practice their reading skills in class and have lots of books to choose from.
This project will make a difference in my students lives because my students will be able to choose books that interest or inspire them.
Students will be able to practice their reading with lots of new books that are at their reading lexile level.
