This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hey besties! I am so excited you have found my project! This project aims to add 50 new books to our classroom library. These books have been strategically chosen for a number of reasons. I have chosen books with diverse characters to represent the many different cultures in our class. I have also chosen books that align with our social studies standards to enhance their learning of these topics. Finally, some of the books were chosen because they just look fun to read! And isn't that what matters most? Reading should be fun. Students should be able to pick up a book and see themselves in it, make connections to reading, and hopefully learn something new. This project also includes a class set of book bins. These will be used as personal libraries for each students. At the beginning of the week, they will choose a few books to keep in their bin so they always have access to a book.
