Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Focusing the Literacy Enhancement Kits on SEL (Social and Emotional Learning) aligns perfectly with the needs of our students, who face economic, language, and learning challenges. Incorporating SEL-focused books and materials will support their emotional and social development, crucial for students who are English language learners or in special education.
These resources will help in building empathy, resilience, and communication skills, enhancing their ability to express themselves and understand others.
Our goal is to not only improve literacy but also foster a supportive, understanding community where every student feels valued and understood. This approach acknowledges the whole child, promoting both academic success and emotional well-being, making our students' remarkable resilience and diversity a source of strength and learning.
