This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These books will allow my students to learn about the Holocaust through the eyes of a young boy about their age. The book Daniel's Story is a story of desperation of hope and survival. The book will not only teach my students about a dark time in history, but also how an individual can overcome challenges that seem impossible.

Upon completion of this novel, we will visit the Holocaust Museum in Skokie, IL.

The Holocaust Museum will educate the students about the Holocaust, and also focus on how to take a stand for humanity. My hope is that students will be inspired to take care of one another and stand up for injustices that occur in their community.
