My Students
My students come from a variety of backgrounds, present different levels of interest and abilities with learning a new language. Together, we work on learning about each other, sharing perspectives, and enriching our lives with what each of us brings to the classroom.
Instruction is delivered 100% via long-distance sessions, keeping students engaged, and providing them with access to material is essential.
We use storytelling in our class and they need access to a variety of books mapping their interest and realding level.
My Project
One of the challenges we are faced with during distance learning is the lack of access we have in the classroom. The most effective way for learning a language is to read texts that present the right level of challenge and written on interesting topics. We have a burgeoning library of such books in French in our classroom, but while we have to learn and studey from home, my students do not have acces to this library.
Having access to an online library of books written for English speakers learning French will support the growth of my students' vocabulary and comprehension of French.
