My Students
Do you remember what it was like the first time you read a book and couldn't put it down? Most of my students have not yet discovered this, and I want to bring this experience to them!
My students are imaginative, energetic, fun-spirited kids, who love to learn.
When we pick up a good book, they complain about having to stop reading. Our school's reading program however does not support this yearning for learning and so I try to bring in as many different texts to satisfy their desire for literature.
My Project
These class sets of the two novels will give my students the opportunity to dive in pages upon pages of inspirational messages, and themes that they will carry out through the rest of their lives. I can still remember my teachers who helped plant the seed for loving books, and I want my students to have this same experience. These books will give them just that- the love of reading.
Without appropriate resources, kids fall behind, and reading essentially becomes boring.
With your help, my students will become avid readers, and will have the opportunity to learn valuable lessons, while getting lost in a book!
