Read Comfortably

My students need a mat for our classroom library and classroom writing supplies.

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Bezio's classroom raised $207

This project is fully funded

My Students

My students are wonderful little people who are so very excited about coming to school to learn. They love moving around the classroom working on activities together. They also like being able to make choices for themselves while they follow classroom rules and routines.

They are excited about learning how to read on their own and to expand their vocabulary.

Most of my students come from low income families who do not have access to lots of books for their reading level. My school is a Title I school where the students receive free lunch.

My Project

My students are loving learning how to read! They LOVE our class library, but they are excited about having a reading area that will be more comfortable for them. They need a softer area than the tile floor they currently are reading on. They want to cuddle up on the floor with a stuffed animal and a good book. Having a mat that is made of foam and has the alphabet on it will not only allow them to be comfortable in order to read together, but they also be able to practice their letters and letter sounds together, as well.

In addition, they will be able to use the story paper to write stories about the books that they have read and be able to illustrate them, too.

The magic boards will be an added (fun) way for them to learn how to write better.
