My Project
It’s undeniable that a child’s reading skills are important to their success in school, work, and life in general. Books are interactive; they demand that kids think. Fiction and nonfiction books widen our consciousness. They give us new ways to think and new ideas. They expand our universe beyond time and place and inspire our own original thoughts.
This project will give kids various options of books to read with characters that look like them and story lines that they can relate to as well.
My students are excited to have a school library. As a middle school in an urban area, libraries aren't always accessible. Creating this school library will allow kids to check out books and start the love of reading journey.
