My Project
In my cart are a list of books that are needed to use as read alouds for students in their Reading Madness tournament project throughout the Fall. This is a project where two books are read to them every week and they choose one of the two books read to go to the next match.
This is an engaging project to engage students to read, and enjoy reading.
These books can help them identify life lessons and how they connect with them. They will also notice many author’s craft moves to learn how writer’s make their writing interesting. They might also find some connections between the character, social issues and themselves.
My students are a bunch of 1st graders who love to listen to stories. They enjoy read alouds and love to share their thoughts on them. They are excited to engage and read more books that sends out different messages to all readers.
