My Students

One of my favorite things about public education is how students learn to be around any and all people from any and all backgrounds. My school is a Title I school which means we have a large portion of our population receiving free or reduced cost lunch, before and after school care, and many are homeless or live in unstable homes.

My school focuses on the learner dispositions of grit, taking ownership, reflecting, motivation, and self-control.

We believe that these life skills will help our students become successful, well-adapted, life-long learners.

No matter what background any of my students come from I believe that with hard work they can make their futures what they want them to be.

My Project

Education is fun and engaging when students can learn at their own skill level and when learning is fun. The individual dictionaries and reading kits will help students to have practice with the skills they need to improve.

Also, the activities like the Snap Circuit kit will help engage them in STEM activities and get them excited about education.

Also, many math concepts can be difficult for kids. When they get the opportunity to practice their math skills, such as operations and place value concepts, they will grow in their math fluency and be more engaged in difficult concepts.
