Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love how much energy and curiosity my students bring into the classroom. Even when something is hard, they show up ready to try, support each other, and have fun learning. A lot of them learn best when they can move around, play, and talk things through, so I’m building a space that supports that. The rug and floor seats will give us a cozy corner where kids can read, think, or work together in a more relaxed setting—it’ll feel like their own little space. The vocabulary games will help turn new words into something they do, not just something they memorize. That kind of hands-on learning really sticks, especially for my students who are still building up their English skills. Altogether, these resources will help them feel more comfortable, more connected, and more confident in their learning.
