My Project

Please help my endlessly curious, engaging students discover the JOY of reading by putting books that have young, positive protagonists that look and sound like themselves, in their hands. My students face daily challenges like food insecurity, unstable housing, and economic and social disadvantages. These books would offer a refreshing change of scenery.

These "mirrors" will help my students see themselves in a different light and hopefully have them "dream" new possibilities for themselves.

Reading is dreaming, just with your eyes open. Give my students these gifts, which they can open again and again.
