My Students

My students are first graders in Carlsbad, California. We are a multicultural classroom with so much to share and learn from each other.

In my first grade classroom, we continually explore, inquire, communicate, collaborate, experiment, practice, create and grow, online!

I am so proud to be a part of their foundation and help inspire these great little minds! They are all so very excited to learn each day and give their best in our classroom community, as well as in the strong school-wide community we have built.

My Project

Now more than ever read alouds have become an exciting, important part of my days with online school. We are connecting through stories together and finding ways to laugh, share emotional stories, and learn new things through books I read to my virtual class.

A good story can make the day great!

We start each day with a social-emotional book, or maybe a STEM book to stimulate the mind... maybe even just a good old favorite story we have heard many times.

Books and connections to their stories are a major reason I can build a strong community with my students.
