Read Aloud Books And Activities For Little Readers

My students need read-aloud books and reading center activities including LeapFrog LeapReaders, rhyming, sound and spelling puzzles.

My Students

Each day we chant the letter chart as a whole group in our kindergarten classroom. Afterward we say, "I know those letters! I know those sounds!"

Our classroom is in an urban setting.

We are a very diverse school filled with happy kids! My classroom has many English Language Learners. Our students love it when I read aloud stories to them. Many don't have access to technology at home. Our students love the routine of school.

My Project

This project will fund mainly read-aloud books. With our diverse population, I've selected texts with a diverse variety of characters, so students can see themselves reflected in books. I've also selected many quality rhyming books to practice important early literacy and phonics skills.

LeapReaders, rhyming and letter sound puzzles will help my students learn letters and other early literacy skills during reading center time.

The activities and read alouds are engaging and I know students will love them!
