This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
What would it be like to open up a book and not be able to enjoy it? With a listening center, even nonreaders could enjoy any literature.
My students are easily motivated and enjoy school, however, they come from low income families.
The struggles my students experience can affect them from accomplishing their goals. I believe that the next president, doctor, teacher, or lawyer is in my classroom and will benefit from your generous help.
My Project
A classroom storyteller read along library will help develop the students' listening, comprehension, and fluency for independent reading. The students will become more engaged in picking up a book to enjoy. A read along library will help students develop growth in phonemic awareness skills, and increase reading fluency.
All students should be engaged in reading books everyday in order to become successful in school and later in life.
A listening center will also help my nonreaders enjoy books and learn new vocabulary as they follow along with the companion books. Please help my project become a reality for my students.
