it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are hardworking, resilient, and full of potential. They come to our RTI classroom for extra reading support, and each of them is working hard to build foundational literacy skills. Many of them face challenges that make reading more difficult, but they never give up. What makes them special is their determination—they celebrate every small victory and continue pushing forward, even when reading feels tough.
This project will provide a variety of high-interest, leveled books that are specifically chosen to support struggling readers.
These books will give my students more opportunities to practice reading at their level, which is crucial for their growth. Having the right materials—books that are engaging and accessible—can make a huge difference in their confidence and motivation. The more they enjoy reading, the more progress they’ll make.
My goal is to create a reading space that feels safe, encouraging, and filled with books that meet students where they are. These resources will help build fluency, comprehension, and a lifelong love of reading. With your support, we can turn struggles into success and help every child feel like a reader.
