My Project
One of my favorite things is when my students get excited about what they are reading! When they learn something new, sometimes they can't wait to get to the library to tell me about the latest thing they read, or to see if I have more books like the latest on they enjoyed.
My students love Who HQ books!
With this project, I will have so many more titles to offer them. They are so willing to read non-fiction when they can learn the life stories of the subjects!
Our school population is not very diverse. By providing these titles of first hand accounts of heroes of the Civil Rights Movement, the Underground Railroad, and the March on Washington, we can broaden our students knowledge of incidents and history that is far removed from our community, but that need to be remembered and honored.
