My Students
My students are an energetic group of 2nd graders, who love to be at school. They explore the world with such an inquisitive view, and always want to try their best. My school is Title I, and all students receive free and reduced price lunch.
Despite all of their challenges, they are excited to learn.
My students come from such a diverse background, each of them bringing in something new to the classroom. Please help support my students!
My Project
Books are the single best way to engage students. Books are tools to teach our students about the world around them. Books help us work through hard problems.
Our students need to see books that reflect who they are.
I specifically picked out stories that I felt would help teach them regulate their emotions, work through hard problems, and celebrate themselves. I am so excited to foster a love of reading with brand new, beautiful books. My students come from a disadvantaged background and only see books that are passed down, or old and out of date. Help me give them something fresh and new!
