My Students
"If you want to build a ship, don't drum up people together to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea.”
― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
The students I teach are so excited to experience the process of making and creating art that they hardly notice they are becoming artists themselves. They are excited to learn new skills and experience materials that are new to them.
My Project
When the little artists in my art room finish their work early, they head over to my arts literacy center to read all about art and artists. They love reading but the books I have are becoming well-worn, taped-up, treasured books. We are in desperate need of some new books.
Literature is a beloved part of our entire curriculum at our school.
By helping us add new books about art and artists to our arts literacy center, you can help my early readers combine their love of both reading and the arts. You will be helping to create treasured moments in the art room.
