Help me give my students books about kindness and diversity so they can see themselves in books as well as classroom resources such as expo markers and play-doh.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a beautiful diverse group of kind and caring kindergarten students. They love to read and be read to! One of our favorite times of the day is when my students gather around the rug and we pull out a new or old favorite story.
My students love when they see themselves in books.
These stories about diversity and kindness will be a reminder that our wonderful differences should be celebrated. The conversations that follow a read aloud are always so profound and interesting.

Along with the books, I am requesting some classroom basics like play dough, dry erase markers and a laminator to laminate games and materials for my students to use.
