My Students

My classroom is full of bright, lively third graders who love to learn. Many of my students come to school hungry for knowledge. I strive to engage all students in the power of learning and create lifelong learners who recognize the importance of learning and reading daily.

My students are future leaders!

We are changing lives, one word and one page at a time. Thank you for stopping by my page and supporting us!

My Project

My students are in need of books that show how beautifully diverse our country and our world truly are! Each of these books allows students to either see themselves or learn about a culture different than their own.

While representation is just the first step when it comes to diversity education, these books will allow for open conversations and discussions as well!

Each of these texts will be used by students during independent reading time. They may also be used as whole-class or small-group read aloud to foster learning and excitement about reading.
