Help me give my students things like activity books, outdoor kid games, and building blocks for fun hands on activities to use during recess time to help them stay fit and have fun.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students attend a homeschool, hybrid charter school. They meet with me twice a week and then take what they have learned in the classroom and expand on it at home with their family. My students are passionate about science, history, art, math, reading, and writing. They love expressing themselves in many different ways. My students are very active, creative, and resourceful second and third graders.
They love to learn and grow in our classroom.
My students are very inspiring young people that love to learn more about themselves and how they can keep improving themselves and the world! They also love to keep busy and active both inside and outside of the classroom.
My students love to learn about the world around them and how to apply what they have learned in the classroom. Our classroom is made up of a community of learners who love to learn about themselves and explore new ideas. My students foster my own love of learning and always bring new ideas and projects into the classroom for us to study with each other.
My Project
The majority of my students are very active both in the classroom and outside during our recess time. They love to stay busy and have fun in creative ways. The stilts and playground horseshoes will provide outlets for extra energy and encourage my students to stay active in a productive way. The students can use the cardboard bricks to creating obstacle courses with additional resources already available during recess.
My students love not only keeping their minds active but also their bodies.
Many of students also LOVE playing Minecraft at home and I want them to have opportunities to use their puzzle solving skills while at school. The Minecraft puzzle book will allow my students to solve puzzles and games with a Minecraft theme and then use the boxes shipped with our new outdoor toys to create life sized mazes on the playground. The LEGOs and brick plates will provide my students who aren't as mobile to have a physical outlet during recess as well. Sometimes staying fit, doesn't always mean running and jumping but simply building with our hands.
