Help me give my students a way to feel connected during distance learning.

My Students

You have a 1 in 6 chance of being a victim of a crime in our school's neighborhood. Crime is 136% higher than the national average and students come to our school every day carrying the trauma around them.

My 5th grade math classes are filled with learners who just need the tools to be successful in class.

One way is for students to be able to create their own word walls and in this digital age I can make directional signs or send little pick me ups for my kids.

My students are at home learning and it would be great to share some positivity and encouragement. Imagine getting mail from your teacher or a cute sticker. Something to give them a pep in their step and be ready for distance learning.

My Project

Our students are distance learning this year. They are missing the daily contact with each other and especially their teachers.

We send each other air hugs, high fives and other ways to communicate, but imagine a message from your teacher, custom made and sent to your door.

Kids do not get mail and most mail they get are bills and advertisement but they light up with they see it addressed to them!!

This community building will add to student attention and engagement in the class. They will have something to look forward to. If we come back to the classroom we will have already established a connection that can only lead to student success in our classroom, custom decorated with our imagination and actually use the cricut to complete projects.
