This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My school is a Title I school where 100% of the students receive free lunch. Most of our community members are families who live in single-family homes with multiple family members within that home. They are low-income families with limited resources and space.
During this time of distance learning, my students need as much assistance with receiving the best instruction and resources virtually.
My Project
Help me provide my students with lessons and assignments that require a device with advanced features. I want to give my students the best education I can. A laptop will allow me to create Nearpod lessons, slides, upload assignments, and so much more on our learning management system.
I will be able to make videos that clearly explain what my students need to do to log into the different online platforms and how to download assignments and submit them so they can demonstrate their learning.
Students will be able to hear me clearly while we are live without the glitches that are normally associated with old, outdated technology.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
