Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Who knew that we would all be forced to leave the comfort and safety of our classroom without the benefit of saying goodbye to our students. We were all caught unaware and unprepared for the challenges and obstacles that distance learning would present.
My students have since scattered across the 5 boroughs of New York City without the tools needed to continue their education from their shelter in place locations.
Our school uses Google Classroom as a means to provide instruction by posting lessons, and reading assignments to engage and motivate them to carry on.
My Project
While trying to reach out to students from home, I have found that to be difficult at times. This is especially true when the members of my household are also trying to conduct distance learning with their instructors.
An upgraded modem and router is needed to ensure a strong connection with my students as we continue with distance learning activities during the COVID lockdown.
